Life After Matric (LAM) is a non-profit organization established in 2012 by young residents from Hammanskraal who were enrolled at different academic institutions. The organization started off as career workshops offered to high school learners, presented by students from around the community together with fellow LAM members.
The focus of the presentation was to expose the learners and help them utilize facilities, resources and the information available to them.
Volunteer to become a mentor at LAM and help less privileged students to attend the university of their dreams.
You can change your mentee’s lives! Imagine the support you wish you had when you decided where to study or how to write your personal statement.
You will be paired with a mentee - ideally from your region - who is interested in studying a qualification similar to yours at university and thrive.
3-5 hours a week of your support can have great impact. As a mentor, you provide applicants with encouragement, application support and tips and tricks throughout the application process.
You can help our organization by donating your Time, Equipment & Finances.
